Together We Can Contribute to Preventing Plastic in Our Waters
With help from you and our partner Plastic Bank®, we are supporting the collection of ocean-bound plastic to offset the amount of plastic used in selected Alcon products* in more than 90 countries.
1 ton used = 1 ton collected
For every ton of plastic used to make Alcon PRECISION1™ and TOTAL1™ family of contact lenses*, and Systane® eye drops* and their packaging, a ton of ocean-bound plastic waste will be removed from the environment and recycled.†

†Net plastic neutrality is established by purchasing credits from Plastic Bank®. A credit represents the collection and conversion of one ton of plastic that may reach or be destined for waterways. Alcon purchases credits equal to the weight of plastic from Systane® multi-dose preservative-free bottles, DROP-TAINER bottles and unit dose eye drop products in Australia, New Zealand, Egypt, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Nordics^, France, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, in collaboration with Plastic Bank®. ^Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Faroe Islands, Greenland, in April-December 2023 in collaboration with Plastic Bank.
